The
coastal avenue attracts the
society life of the town and leads from the commercial
sector of the port up to the small bays in the
eastern part of the town. Modern Volos is a beautiful,
large, provincial town full of life and offering all
kinds of entertainment. The picturesque sandy beaches
and verdant hills attract many nature lovers, both
Greeks and foreigners, all year round.
Tourism
has developed rapidly thanks to the magical beauties
of Pelion. Throughout time thousand
of visitors have passed Volos heading for the villages
of Pelion during the winter season, taking mountaineering
and skiing excursions to the villages, during the
summer season looking for entertainment in the sea
to indulge in their favorite water sports.
